Of Snails and Lips is a project concerned with vulnerability, softness, and adaptation. An original 50-minute choreography was radically re-imagined in new locations and with additional collaborators over the course of 4 months. An exploration of the shifting terrain of interior and exterior, vulnerability and openness, “Of Snails and Lips” seeks to understand cycles of healing and change both through the content and the adapting structure of the work. The work appeared as a traditional dance concert in a studio showing, as a forest installation in a local park, as a solo on a fashion runway, as a guerilla performance in a local market. . .
