Funny, She Doesn't Look Jewish

Part oral history, part dance work, this 15-minute solo shares Mason's experiences growing up as a queer Jew in a small conservative Christian town. The solo interweaves walking patterns and gestures drawn from Jewish prayer, folk dance, and gendered dance vocabulary.

Funny, She Doesn't Look Jewish premiered at Pearlarts Studios (Pittsburgh PA) in 2015 and was later
presented as part of THE CURRENT SESSIONS at wild project (NYC) and at Carnegie Stage (Carnegie, PA) in 2016.

Funny, She Doesn't Look Jewish is available for booking. Contact me.
